Celebrating #LunaEast and #RomanceClass

Last Saturday, me and my fellow #romanceclass authors had our very first book launch and signing. It was quite a big thing, with most of us delving into writing and publishing for the first time. With the local publishing landscape evolving to bring indie publishing to the forefront, now has never been a better time to be an author and self-publish!
At the registration area with (l-r): Jayen, AC, Alyssa, and friend. :)
We had an abundance of sweets...and milk!

Friends and family members of authors Chrissie Peria, with Chris Mariano
What was even more amazing was that the party was held at the Ayala Museum, one of the swankiest places at the heart of Makati. The last time I was there, a friend of mine got married and we had a mini tour around the place.

Our lovely books
Because you can never predict the traffic in the metro (and that I had to pick up other things along the way), I arrived just before the event started. I was bowled over at how my co-authors dressed up the place, complete with a registration booth and a food area. Chairs were already set up and the Luna East books were waiting to be unwrapped and smelled. :)

I was all around the place taking photos, talking to friends, and later on, signing books. It was great to see friends and familiar faces who were there to support our group, and even more awesome to meet new people and to finally see our co-authors, with one coming all the way from Bacolod (hello, AC)!

The #romanceclass authors with Mina V. Esguerra (not in photo is Kesh Tanglao who delivered the group's thank-you speech).
Mina gives a short talk about Luna East and #romanceclass...with a special performer
We also surprised Mina V. Esguerra with a small token of our appreciation for bringing us all together and helping us realize our dream to write and get published. Thank you, Mina, for sharing your knowledge and for challenging us out of our comfort zones (whether in writing or self-publishing). Looking forward to more amazing opportunities for all of us!

Me and my awesome friends
And cheers to my fellow #romanceclass and Luna East authors! Here's to more stories, laughter, and kilig! Thank you to everyone who were there and party-ed with all of us!

You can get a paperback copy of Kids These Days: Stories from Luna East Arts Academy vol. 1 in this order form. We now have student copies which you can buy at a cheaper price. Don't forget to include my name when you place your order. :)
