#buqoYA Blog Tour

Photo from Pixabay.com

It's been so busy this first quarter of the year, but I'm really excited to get my writing mojo back after last year's drought. And since I did mention joining a YA writing class in January, I'm equally stoked to be promoting our #buqoYA blog tour! My story, Fall from Grace, is in the bundle Finding Fairytales.

If you have a blog, please do join the blog tour! Our goal is to bring more young adult romance stories and we hope to be diverse and interesting as what's already available in the market.

I'll be featuring excerpts of my #buqoYA co-authors and I hope this will get everyone excited to check them out (and buy them) on Buqo. Let's all support our local authors! :)

The #buqoYA Experience

Photo from #buqoYA classmate Justine Tajonera
To say that the start of 2015 has been busy is the biggest understatement. I know I still have to detail what I've been doing for the past 2 months, but I just want to get this down into writing while I'm still on a high. In December of last year, I signed up to join one of Mina V. Esguerra's classes yet again, this time for a Young Adult writing session sponsored by Buqo, the premier Filipino digital book store. Two things got me so excited to join:

My 2014 Happy List

Photo from Katie: Normal Girl

There was this post that appeared in my FB (couldn't find the link) where you write down the stuff you're happy/thankful for in pieces of paper and put them in a jar. At the end of the year, you take them out, re-read them, and review all the good things that have happened to you for the entire year. I did something similar but instead of a jar, I wrote down those happy things in my planner.

2014 Christmas Greetings

Photo from Google
I took my time off seriously after NaNoWriMo, but I wouldn't want to pass up the opportunity to greet everyone a very Merry Christmas! Have an awesome and meaningful celebration with the people you love. Have fun, folks! :)

TGIO (Thank God It's OVER)!

Popping back in the blog after hitting 50k words in my NaNo novel.

YES! 50K!

But I haven't validated yet because of the discrepancy in my word processesor. I'll validate sometime later this week, but that doesn't mean I'm going to stop after reaching the finish line. I still haven't written "The End" to my story, so the writing doesn't stop just yet. But I'm just over the moon to have crossed the line because it has been worse than hell going through this month.

Edit: I've finally written the ending, and I've clocked in a total of 55,078 words per NaNo word count verifier.
