So yeah, this is a late birthday entry. I was sort of hoping it would be different from the previous years considering I've hit that point in my life where I'm in the "middle age" bracket. No use denying it, I mean, we're all going there and it just so happened I've already reached the first checkpoint.
Anyway, birthday was ok. I spent the day on therapy and it was the most awkward thing. Ever. Since I got in late (damned HMO approval took forever), the therapist assigned to me was busy and I got a male one. Imagine this guy rubbing the ultrasound gel thingee up my ass for 20 minutes.
I had no words.
Incidentally, male therapist and I had the same birthday. I got greets from everyone on the floor. It didn't help that male therapist was kinda cute too, but I was too embarrassed I had such a flabby ass to begin with.
After therapy, I went to Booksale to get myself a present, then I headed home. End of story.
I thought I had my birthday planned. I initially wanted to do some donating for PAWS, but I ran into some trouble financial-wise. Perhaps once I've settled in my new job, I can take that rain check.
I had less greetings this year, but it didn't really matter. I realized the people who really knew you would send warm wishes because they genuinely know you and wouldn't need to be reminded via Facebook.
All in all, I guess turning 30 isn't so bad, not when you've got a lot to be thankful for. :)
